Drifters, 2017
Found driftwood, clay
Sculptures part of the exhibition Conversations From The Shore
A drifter is a person that moves continuously with no real place to call their home. They wander sometimes looking for something, sometimes because it's the only way to get away from everything that made them become drifters in the first place. The more driftwood moves overtime from shore to shore, the more it becomes beautifully shaped. Human beings, like drifters are in a continuous state of being become beautifully shaped by the shores they land on.
