Weaving Time, Yearning Stories
Installationand storytelling event part of the residency at SERDE, Aizupte, Latvia, 2017
Weaving time, Yarning Stories is an installation and a dialogue process held in Serde, Aizpute, Latvia. Luisa Spina has been using Serde’s residencies centre as a source of inspiration for the installation ‘Weaving Time, Yearning Stories’. The installation she created follows invisible architectural traces left from the communist period. The 300 years old building has seen through its walls history change from Russian regime to Latvian Independency. The installation brought together different realities and created a safe space for conversation about past, present and future histories, stressing on the importance of preserving histories through storytelling.
